1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the HUT - Home Utility Tool mobile application ("App") and website at myhut.app ("Site"), provided by TechStack LLC ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using the App or Site, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

HUT is a home and vehicle maintenance tracking application that allows users to:

• Track home maintenance tasks, optional categories (e.g. pool, hot tub), custom tasks, and vehicle (Auto) maintenance
• Receive notifications and reminders for upcoming tasks based on schedules you configure
• Store notes, history, and preferences locally with optional cloud sync via Firebase

3. User Accounts

• You must create an account to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate and current information when creating your account.
• You must notify us immediately at support@myhut.app if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Upload or transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the App or its data
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

5. Maintenance information (not professional advice)

HUT is a scheduling, reminder, and logging tool. It helps you remember tasks and record what you did—it does not diagnose equipment or tell you how to perform repairs.

• No professional advice: Nothing in the App constitutes advice from a licensed contractor, plumber, electrician, HVAC technician, mechanic, or other professional.
• Your responsibility: Always follow manufacturer manuals, product labels, and qualified professionals for how-to guidance and safety.

6. Third-party products & affiliate links

HUT may display optional links, banners, or product recommendations for third-party goods (for example, home maintenance supplies). Some of these links are affiliate links: if you click a link and make a purchase, TechStack LLC / HUT may receive a commission or other compensation from the merchant or an affiliate network (such as Awin), at no additional cost to you.

• Affiliate and partner offers are optional. You are not required to click them or buy anything to use HUT.
• Third-party merchants and networks are independent of HUT. We do not sell those products ourselves and do not control their websites, pricing, inventory, shipping, returns, or warranties.
• Product descriptions and marketing claims on partner sites are the responsibility of those third parties. HUT’s maintenance reminders remain informational only and are not professional advice (see “Maintenance information” above).
• Clicking an affiliate or partner link will typically open the third party’s website (or an affiliate redirect) outside the App.

7. Data & Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, logo, content, and features, is owned by TechStack LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our express written permission.

You retain ownership of any content you create within the App (such as notes and task data). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TechStack LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, property damage, or personal injury arising from your use of the App or reliance on its content. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, for a free app, is $0).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TechStack LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may terminate your account at any time using Settings → Account → Delete account within the App, or by contacting us at support@myhut.app. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the appropriate courts of the United States.

15. Apple App Store — Additional Terms (iOS Users)

The following terms apply only when you obtain or use the App through Apple's App Store. They supplement (and, where they conflict, take precedence over) the rest of these Terms with respect to use of the App on Apple-branded devices ("iOS App"). In this Section 15, "Apple" means Apple Inc. and its subsidiaries.

15.1 Acknowledgment

You and TechStack LLC acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and TechStack LLC only, and not with Apple. TechStack LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for the iOS App and its content. These Terms may not provide for usage rules for the iOS App that conflict with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions; in the event of any conflict, those Apple terms control with respect to your use of the iOS App.

15.2 Scope of License

TechStack LLC grants you a non-transferable license to use the iOS App on any Apple-branded products that you own or control and as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including any Family Sharing or volume-purchasing rules.

15.3 Maintenance and Support

TechStack LLC is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services with respect to the iOS App, as specified in these Terms or as required under applicable law. You and TechStack LLC acknowledge that Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the iOS App.

15.4 Warranty

TechStack LLC is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure of the iOS App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the iOS App to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the iOS App, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be TechStack LLC's sole responsibility.

15.5 Product Claims

You and TechStack LLC acknowledge that TechStack LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the iOS App or your possession and/or use of it, including but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the iOS App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.

15.6 Intellectual Property Rights

You and TechStack LLC acknowledge that, in the event of any third-party claim that the iOS App or your possession and use of the iOS App infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, TechStack LLC, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.

15.7 Legal Compliance

You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

15.9 Third-Party Terms of Agreement

You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the iOS App.

15.10 Third-Party Beneficiary

You and TechStack LLC acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with respect to the iOS App, and that, upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof with respect to the iOS App.
